More than an Administration Firm.
We are an extension of your fund.

Since our inception in 2007, MG Stover has sought to improve the fund administration experience for investment managers. In order to accomplish our mission and differentiate our product in a crowded marketplace, client service has been the key to our business model.

MG Stover’s commitment to our clients is evidenced in our philosophy that “Accountability Comes First.” We do not have a one-size-fits-all approach to our clients because no two clients are the same. We strive to understand our clients’ business goals and focus on building long-term relationships. Since accountability to our clients is at the heart of our business philosophy, we are constantly improving every aspect of our business to provide superior service to our clients.

Matt Stover, CPA

Founder, Chief Executive Officer

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in accounting, and a certificate in International Business from Thames Valley University in London, Matt began his career as a CPA at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Spicer Jeffries. There, he audited hedge funds, commodity pools, mutual funds, broker-dealers and investment advisors. In 2007, after growing frustrated with the data he was receiving from fund administrators, Matt decided to start his own firm. His entrepreneurial spirit and goal to create a unique, invaluable service offering has shaped the standards and culture that we adhere to today.

As Chief Executive Officer, Matt leads the strategic and visionary activities for the firm. He ensures that accountability, efficiency and forward thinking are at the forefront of what we do. Matt has been integral in the evolution of the crypto hedge fund industry. In 2017, he co-founded CoinVantage, a portfolio accounting and reporting system for digital assets. CoinVantage merged with Picks & Shovels in 2018 before getting acquired by Kraken in 2019.

Outside of MG Stover, Matt is a Director on the Global Board of Help For Children, a foundation that prevents and treats child abuse around the world. As an avid Colorado outdoorsman, he bikes with Boulder based Wednesday Morning Velo group during the summer, goes on the back country ski trips during the winter and spends many weekends in the mountains with this wife and four kids throughout the year.
